- In the past decade,hundreds of new towns have been built in China.Many have been called ecocities,but in truth most are poorlyplanned and designed,with little consideration of their environmental and ecological impacts.The work of Turenscape is oriented towards an alternative urbanism,ecologically sound and culturally sensitive.The heartof this approach to urbanism is the planningand design of an ecological infrastructurethat provides keyservices for the city,including storm water management,food production,habitats for biodiversity,cultural andspiritual experiences,and mobility across the landscape.
